By the end of 2011 the capacity of the Oguz-Qabala-Baku water pipeline will reach the planned power of five cubic meters per second, according to the head of the water operator of Azerbaijan, Gormhaz Guseynov.
At present, waterflow through this pipeline supplies the Nasimin and Yasmal districts of Baku, most of the Sabail, Narimanov and Banagadin districts and parts of the Khatain and Sabunchin districts of the city.
The Ogus-Qabala-Baku water pipeline began operating in December 2010.
