Azerbaijan realized trade operations worth $17.436 billion with 139
states in January-June 2011, 1news.az reports.
Trade turnover increased by 32.62% compared with the same period in 2010.
Azerbaijan exported 1,528 types of goods worth $13.091 billion
(+27.78% compared with January-June 2010) and imported 5,313 types
worth $4.344 billion (+49.72%).
Azerbaijan had a positive balance of $8.747 billion.
2,931 legal bodies and 2,410 individuals were involved in foreign
trade. 229 legal bodies were state-run and 2,702 were privately owned.
$12.488 billion of operations belong to the government, $525 million
to the private sector and $77.752 million to individuals.
