Azerbaijan increases raw cotton export

Azerbaijan exported raw cotton worth $4.344 million in the first half of 2011, compared with $2.245 million in the same period of 2010, 1news.az reports.

This means that export increased by 93.42%. Cotton export share of the country ($13.091 million) was 0.03% on July 1, compared with 0.04% on June 1, 0.05% on May 1 and 0.02% on January 1, 2011.

Azerbaijan exported 3,732 tons of cotton, exceeding the indicator of 2009 by 78.5%. Export of raw cotton dropped by 69.76% last year.
