Georgian Airways granted permission for flights to Moscow

The private airline Georgian Airways has been licensed to carry out
charter flights to Moscow from May 24th to November 21st this year,
reports ITAR-TASS, company spokesman Nino Giorgobiani.
"The direct charter flights will fly four times a week, depending on
passenger volume", she said.
Direct flights between Russia and Georgia were cancelled in 2006 after
the intensification of tensions between the states. They were recently
restored for a short period, but stopped again due to the conflict of
2008. Since the beginning of this year several charter flights have
flown between Moscow and Tbilisi.
