Iran reduces consumption of wheat

Deputy Minister of Trade, the new CEO of the Iranian State Trading Company, Mr. Kabadi said that Iran has reduced the wheat consumption by  30% and is expected to reduce it 10 % more by the end of the year. The reduction of wheat consumption is connected with coming into force of the bill on Provision of Targeted Subsidies, the Iran News reports.

Kabadi said, the decrease in volume of wheat consumption was made possible by reducing the losses in the processes of wheat processing, as well as by improving the management practices at flour mills and factories, and providing the right to choose flour for the production process, as well as establishing real price for products.
