Scientists and professional divers will begin on Friday the first comprehensive study of the Kazenyi-Am lake, the largest alpine lake in the North Caucasus on the border of Dagestan and Chechnya, according to the Russian Geographical Society (RGS) on Monday, RIA Novosti reports.
As noted in the RGS, due to its remoteness and other reasons the lake is still almost unknown. Therefore, representatives of three regional offices of the Russian Geographical Society, from Chechnya, Dagestan and Tatarstan will jointly perform a comprehensive scientific study of the lake.
