Iranian-Chinese trade turnover to exceed $40 billion

The Iranian Ambassador to China, Mahdi Safari, says commercial transactions between Tehran and Beijing are growing, so that total trade turnover could exceed $40 billion by the middle of March 2012,  Press TV reports.

“Trade ties between Iran and China exceeded $21 billion in the first six months of 2011,” Safari said in the Chinese capital of Beijing on Tuesday.

He estimated that the figure could exceed $40 billion by the end of the current Iranian calendar year that ends on March 19, 2012.
