Georgian exports exceed $1 billion

Georgia's exports have exceeded $1 billion for the first time, the country's Prime Minister Nika Gilauri told a government meeting today, Business Georgia reports.

According to the prime minister, in the first half of 2011 Georgia's imports increased by 36 percent and exports by 44 percent.

The prime minister also pointed out that Georgia's main partners are the EU, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
