Georgian Airways finally granted permission for flights to Moscow

The private airline Georgian Airways has finally been licensed by the
Russian Transport Ministry to carry out charter flights to Moscow from
May 24th to November 21st this year,
reports RIA Novosti, citing a Ministry spokesman.
The direct charter flights will fly on May 24th, 26th, 27th, 29th and
31st, and June 2nd, 3rd, 6th , 9th, 28th, 30th and July 1st.

Direct flights between Russia and Georgia were cancelled in 2006 after
the intensification of tensions between the states. They were recently
restored for a short period, but stopped again due to the conflict of 2008.
