India intends to increase volumes of imported Azeri oil, the ambassador of India to Azerbaijan, Debnat Show, told the Azerbaijan-India business forum, APA-Economics reports.
According to Ambassador Show, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and India in 2010 accounted for up to $330 million. At the moment economic cooperation between the countries is developing actively. Most of the turnover is oil exported from Azerbaijan to India. The share of other products is less than $50 million.
Ambassador Show said that India is trying to attract investment from various countries in the world, amongst which is Azerbaijan.
