KazMunayGaz strike sees 6% drop in annual oil extraction

KazMunayGaz may see oil extraction drop by 6% due to an illegal strike
at Ozenmunaygaz at Zhanaozen od Mangistauskaya District, News
Kazakhstan reports.


Oil extraction has already dropped by 366,000 tons. The drop may reach
800,000 tons by the end of the year.


748 of strikers have not got back to work on July 27. Hundreds of
workers at Ozenmunaygaz were on strike in late May, demanding higher
wages.


Hundreds have been fired since early 2011.
