Azerbaijani companies have invested over $4 billion in Turkey and
plans to invest $6 billion more in the petrochemical industry,
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with Turkish
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, RIA Novosti reports.
Trade turnover between the two states in 2010 reached $2.5 billion,
and $1.4 billion in the first 5 months of 2011. The indicator is
expected to reach $3 billion.
Turkish Minister for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan said that the trade
relations between the two states have improved, Trend reports.
The minister said that Turkey plans to increase export to $500 billion
by 2023. Export reached $75 billion by July 25. The indicator remained
at $36 billion in the last 9 years.
