Iran to upgrade its gas electricity stations

Iranian Energy Minister Majid Namdz has announced the ministry's plans
for the conversion of gas-fired power plants to the combined type,
which would increase the country's electricity generation capacity by
10 MW, Iran News reports.

The minister said that today Iran's power generating capacity exceeds 62 MW.

Another program of development of the electricity industry includes
construction of coal power plants with the financial participation of
Chinese partners, as well as of a new steam power plant with high
