Municipalities of Yerevan and Beijing have signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document was signed during the visit of Mayor of Yerevan Karen Karapetyan to the capital of China from July 29-30, Armenia Today reports.
During a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Guo Tszinlyun, Karapetyan noted the need to strengthen and expand relations between Yerevan and Beijing.
Karapetyan proposed his Chinese counterpart to consider the foundation of the Center of Yerevan in Beijing, and Center of Beijing in Yerevan. During the visit, Karapetyan met with the president of one of the world's leading companies in the field of innovation and information technologies "Yuavey Technologies." The parties discussed the possibility of opening the company’s center in Yerevan, as well as issues of mutual cooperation in this field.
