Around 70 passengers of a flight Istanbul-Kiev operated by the "Aerosvit" airline are stuck in the airport of Istanbul due to a strike organized by the pilots of the airline, said on Monda Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Dikusar. The pilots of the Ukrainian company "Aerosvit" are demanding a raise of wages, RIA Novosti reports.
In Moscow Sheremetyevo about 90 people cannot leave the airport because of the strike. Flights from Yerevan, Tbilisi and Copenhagen are also delayed. However, according to the company’s information only about 5% of total (daily) flights were cancelled today due to the strike.
The pilots demand indexation of wages during the crisis and increase in wages by about 18%.
