Armenia, Iran agree to expand cooperation in energy sphere

Deputy Minister of Energy of Iran Mr. Behzad and Deputy Minister of
Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia Mr. Movsisyan held a joint
meeting in Tehran in the Ministry of Energy. The participants of the
meeting reaffirmed the need for greater cooperation in the field of
power generation, Iran News reports, citing Iriba News.

Behzad said that a bilateral agreement is being finalized at the
moment regarding the deal on electricity generated at the station.

As for the construction of the third transmission line connecting
Armenia and Iran, Behzad said that the financial agreement for the
construction of transmission lines is about to be signed, although the
Armenian side has not yet provided the necessary conditions for it.
