Iran is deciding on what to name its national currency. The Central
Bank of Iran is holding Internet polls. 43% of those polled prefer
tuman or parsi. 1% wants the old rial to stay. 8% want to pay with
dareks, Vesti reports.
86% of the voters are men. Over 35,000 have voted.
Voters had were also asked to express their views on denominations.
54% proposed the removal of three zeros, 5% want the removal of two,
7% - none. One dollar is worth about 11,200 – 11,500 rials.
