Armenia registered 9.4% inflation in January - July 2011 as compared with the same period last year, representative of Armenian statistical service Gurgen Martirosyan told journalists on Tuesday, News.am reports.
Prices for food products went up by 15.4% with an average monthly salary totaling about $315 in June 2011.
A 3% deflation was registered in July as compared with June, while prices for food products went down by 5.9%. The main decrease in prices fell on vegetables (including potatoes) and fruits making overall 30.7%.
As regards non-food items, prices for gasoline and diesel fuel went up by 23.2% and 28.4% respectively, but rise in prices was not registered as compared with June.
