Georgia registers inflation drop

Georgian annual inflation has dropped from 10% to 8.5% in July, the
Georgian Statistics Service said on August 3, Georgia Online reports.


Food and alcohol prices dropped by 5.1%, vegetable prices fell 23.3%,
fruit by 16.3%. Sugar and confectionary prices rose by 4.9%.


Transport prices increased by 7.4%, which affected inflation by 0.77%.
Bus and minibus ticket prices increased by 18.4%.
