Iran increases electricity export by about 22%

Iran has exported over 2,701 GW per hour to neighbor states since
March 21, increasing the indicator by 21.67%, compared with the same
period in 2010, News.am reports.


The Iranian Energy Ministry said that electricity consuming in the
country dropped through reforms of subsidies. Consumer growth dropped
too.


Iran exports electricity to Armenia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey,
Azerbaijan, Nakhchyvan, Iraq and Afghanistan. The exchange rate
reached 1,332MW on August 2.
