The gas pipeline ITGI (Interconnector Turkey-Greece-Italy) is the only project that can be implemented given the schedule of Azerbaijani gas deliveries to Europe and its volumes, the consultancy company PFC Energy announced today, APA reports.
The study of the PFC Energy, entitled "The European Southern Corridor: What shape will it find?" notes that larger projects, in particular Nabucco, may be implemented only after 2020, and their implementation will depending on various circumstances.
The study is based on company factors that may influence the development of the Southern Gas Corridor, including the expected gas production in Azerbaijan in the next 10 years, criterias for selecting the pipeline, which will open the corridor, the level of technological readiness, business viability and security of supply.
