Russia to open research and cultural centers in South Ossetia and Abkhazia

Russian research and cultural centers will be opened in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the press service of the Russian government announced. The establishment of centers in Sukhumi and Tskhinvali are stipulated by intergovernmental agreements. The cost for the opening and maintenance of Russian centers of science and culture in South Ossetia and Abkhazia will be funded from the budget, Yuga.ru reports.

The Russian government has discussed with the Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Finance and Rossotrudnichestvo the question of allocation of funds for scientific and cultural centers in South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
