The Federal Open Market Committee of the Federal Reserve System of the US announced on Tuesday that it is keeping its ultra-low interest rate policies in place, from 0.0% to 0.25%, RIA Novosti reports.
The decision fulfilled the expectations of experts.
The Fed has been maintaining the ultra-low interest rate for more than two years. In September 2007 the interest rate was 5.25%, and it has been decreasing since then.
