Abdolhamid Asadiyan, Director of the Department for Trade with
European and American State of the Organization for Trade Development,
said at the 2nd conference for trade between Iran and Turkmenistan
that the two states have a trade turnover of $4.2 billion, which will
be increased to $5 billion by the end of the year, Iran News reports.
Iran and Turkmenistan plan a trade turnover of $10 billion.
Cooperation between state heads and foreign ministers allows
improvement of trade-economic ties.
Foreign ministers of Qatar, Oman, Iran, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan
signed a five-sided deal on transit and transport of goods in
Ashkhabad.
An Iranian trade-economic delegation of 60 officials of engineering
companies, supported by the Organization for Trade Development and the
Iranian Foreign Ministry, arrived in Turkmenistan for the 2nd
conference on Iranian-Turkmen trade relations and the 11th session of
the joint intergovernment commission for trade-economic cooperation.
