Vice-Premier Dmitry Kozak was appointed head of the inter-agency
commission on testing Olympic facilities in Sochi, to determine their
readiness and compliance with the standards of the International
Olympic Committee.
Premier Vladimir Putin signed the corresponding decree on May 15th.
According to the document, the program of testing will show the
effectiveness of system management of Olympic facilitie and the
transport and technological systems of the Olympic Games in 2014.
The tests will be held from 2011 and will provide security for both
the participants and the observers of the games, and operative
reaction to potential irregular and extreme situations, RIA Novosti
reports.
