Land in South Ossetia will be leased for 99 years to Russian
investment projects, the president of the republic, Eduard Kokoity,
said today, Res reports.
"We hope to attract more investments and to restore the national
economy through cooperation with Russian businessmen, who will be
granted a lease for 99 years by the company,” Kokoity said.
He added that there is a project for granting plots of land to Russian
Cossacks to settle in abandoned territories and develop the economy
there, as well as guard the frontiers.
