Azerbaijan had trade operations with 138 states worth $17.4 billion in
the first half of 2011. Azerbaijan's trade turnover with the CIS
states reached $2.9 billion (+32.7%). Other states amount to $14.5
billion or 83% of trade turnover (+6.1%), 1news.az reports.
Exports reached $13.1 billion (-3.3%). 86.8% or $11.4 billion of the
sum came from distant foreign states, 13.2% (+36.1%) to CIS states.
Imports reached $4.3 billion (47.1%). 71.5% or $3.1 billion of the sum
came from distant foreign states, 28.5% or $1.2 billion to CIS states.
The positive balance reached $8.8 billion, including $8.3 billion from
distant foreign states, $487.4 million from CIS states.
Azerbaijan had trade operations with 147 states worth $27.9 billion in
2010. Exports reached $21.3 billion, or 76.4% of trade turnover,
imports reached $6.6 billion (23.6%).
Trade turnover increased by 34.1% compared with 2009, exports grew
45.1% and imports grew 7.8%. The positive balance reached $14.7
billion.
The biggest share of foreign trade belongs to Italy, France, Russia,
Israel, USA, Ukraine, Turkey, China, Croatia, Indonesia, Malaysia,
Singapore and Germany.
