Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Iran in Beirut after meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister said: "If Lebanon requests assistance from Iran, we are ready to assist in the operations of oil and gas extraction," Armenia Today reports with reference to the Iranian news agency Mehr.
After the meeting with Najib Mikati, Gazanfar Roknabadi noted that approximately in 20 days a meeting of a joint commission on this issue will take place in Beirut.
The Iranian ambassador in Beirut has earlier announced that Iran was ready to assist Lebanon in the drilling of gas and oil wells.
