Russia's Gazprom says it's almost ready to deliver gas via the Nord Stream pipeline. The first pipeline of the project has already been constructed and is almost ready to be put into operation, RIA Novosti recently reported.
The official opening of the first pipeline of the Nord Stream project is scheduled for September 2011.
The Nord Stream project was launched by Russia and Germany in order to deliver Russian gas to Europe via the Baltic Sea.
