Georgia’s state statistics service reported that Azerbaijan was the country’s second-largest trading partners in January 2010, Business Georgia reports.
During the stated period, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia amounted to $43.1 million (11.2% of total turnover). Georgian exports to Azerbaijan were worth $15 million (14.1% of total exports).
The main exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan were motor cars (56%), cement (8.8%) and cattle (7.2%), with other products making up the remaining 28%.
Azerbaijani imports to Georgia amounted to $28.1 million (10.1% of total imports). Among the imported products are: oil and oil products (44%), gas (43.8%), and sunflower-seed oil (1%), with other products accounting for the remaining 11.2%.
