Transneft, which lost about 18 thousand tons of oil in June and July in a pipeline from Azerbaijan to Novorossiysk, has decided to complain to the Dagestan authorities, 1news.am reports.
The deputy vice president on security of Transneft, Sergey Khardykin, expressed his concern about security of main pipelines in Dagestan.
The fight against oil theft is prevented by the ineffective work of some republic's law enforcement bodies, Transneft say.
The Dagestan authorities say that tie-in of pipelines still exists in the republic, but steal has dramatically reduced recently.
