Azerbaijan signs credit deal for construction of Azerspace satellite

Azerbaijan has signed a deal with US Ex-Im and France's BNP Paribas to
construct the first TV communication satellite Azerspace, which will
be launched in late 2012, Trend reports.


The credit for satellite construction is worth $116.6. The satellite
is worth $120 million. 85% of the sum comes from loans and 15% from
the state budget. The loan was provided for 10 years with a
realization period of 2.


The Azerspace satellite will be made by Orbital Sciences Corporation
(US). It will be at 46 degrees of East longitude, which is in joint
control with Malaysia's operator MEASAT.


Arianspace (France) will launch the satellite.
