The Armenian Central Bank has reduced its refinancing rate by 0.5% to
8%, News Armenia reports.
A deflation of 0.6% was registered in August. As a result, inflation
in 2010 was at 4.8%, dropping by 1.5%, compared with 2009, reaching an
admissible corridor of 4±1.5%.
The previous adjustments to the refinancing rate were made on April
13, 2011. It was raised by 0.25% to 8.5%. Inflation in 2011 is planned
at 4% (±1.5%).
