The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has suggested speeding up reconstruction of the Chechen part of the Kavkaz federal highway because of frequent accidents, connected with heavy traffic on the road, RIA Novosti reports.
On Thursday a major accident occurred on the highway near the village of Dzhalka, in which seven people died and four were badly hurt. Traffic on the road was paralysed for two hours, as there is no by-pass.
