Iran and Pakistan conclude gas pipeline construction

Reza Golpaygani, Executive Director for construction of the 7th
transnational gas pipeline, said that they are building the final
pipeline section for gas export to Pakistan, Iran.ru reports.

The section will link Iranshahr with the Pakistani border. The
pipeline will have a diameter of 56 inches and a length of 907 km. It
will provide gas for Sistan and Belujistan Provinces. Gas will be used
for industrial facilities and power plants in the southern part of
Kerman Province and the Bender-Abbas District.

Another peculiarity is the pipeline length, which allows gas exports
to Pakistan, India and China.

Construction of the Asaluye-Iranshahr pipeline section is about to be
completed. Pipelines have been laid in three directions - from
Iranshahr to the border of Pakistan, from Iranshahr to Zaheda and a
line from the main pipeline to Chabahar.
