The Georgian military police are investigating a helicopter crash of
the Defense Ministry. The helicopter was carrying Georgian and foreign
journalists, Georgia Online reports.
The Mi-8 helicopter crashed from low altitude in the mountainous area
of Khevsuretia District (Mtskhet-Mtianeti) on Tuesday while landing.
The pilot lost control of the aircraft as a result of heavy winds.
The aircraft was carrying 3 pilots and 8 journalists. They received
minor injuries and most have been discharged from hospital, while the
rest will be discharged in a few hours.
