Russian president demands reduction of air companies

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has demanded a radical reduction in the number of Russian air companies after the plane crash in Yaroslavl yesterday, RIA Novosti reports.


Medvedev attended the operative council for the Yak-42 crash in Yaroslavl and will give the government an order.


Yuga.ru reported on September 7 that the Yak-42 was carrying the Lokomotiv Hockey Team from Yaroslavl to Minsk. It carried 45 people, including 37 passengers and 8 crew members. 43 of them died. Alexander Galimov, of Lokomotiv, and Alexander Sizov, a crew member, were hospitalized.
