Investments in the Gorki-Gorod ski resort at Krasnaya Polyana of the Gornaya Karusel sports-tourism complex, 40km from the Sochi-Adler International Airport, have reached 8 billion rubles, 20% of total investments in the project, Deputy Director General for development of the NBB-Development Company, Yevgeny Kaplun, told RIA Novosti.
NBB-Development, the Krasnaya Polyana Company, Marriott International, Interstate Hotel Group & Resort, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, Swissotel Hotels & Resorts and West Paces Hotel Group signed contracts for the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014, providing about 1,300 rooms, including the Marriott (426 rooms), Swissotel (164 rooms) and the Capella (57 rooms).
Krasnaya Polyana will have construction of 12 hotels with 1,566 rooms, 2,488 apartments, 110 cottages, two SPA-complexes, 75,000 square meters of commercial real estate, parking for 1,656 vehicles, cultural-recreation infrastructure with over 30,000 square meters at an altitude of 540 and 960 meters.
The Gorki-Gorod will have about 740,000 square meters of real estate. About 40 billion rubles will be invested. Construction will end in late 2013. The Krasnaya Polyana Company is the investor, NBB-Development is the developer, Sberbank and the Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs are financial partners.
