Azerbaijan will have a new road connection with the Nakhchyvan Autonomy through Iran via the Bilyasuvar-Bazarkend highway, Iranian Transport Minister Ali Nikzad said in Parsabad, Trend reports.
Road construction will be organized by Khatamul-Anbia, controlled by the Iranian Armed Forces and the Sepakh Revolutionary Guards Corps.
50% of construction will be financed by the Iranian Transport Ministry, the rest - by private investors.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is on a visit to Parsabad where a railway will be constructed from Ardebil. It will be connected with Azerbaijani, Russian and Chinese railways.
The investment sum for construction of the railway has not been announced yet.
