Kazakhstan will support the entry of Kyrgyzstan into the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov said after talks with the head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet today in Bishkek, RIA Novosti reports.
Massimov noted that the decision is "the sovereign right of each country." He acknowledged that the Kazakh government sees in the Customs Union obvious advantages, as well as "some sensitive issues."
Masimov arrived in Bishkek on Friday in order to participate in talks with Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev. He also participated in a meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh intergovernmental commission.
