Iran to export gas from South Pars to India and Oman via underwater pipeline

Iran plans to export natural gas to India and Oman via an underwater pipeline, Xinhua reports.


Khossein Bidarmazh, spokesman for the Iranian National Oil and Gas Company, said that an Indian delegation is to arrive in Tehran in the near future to discuss details, RBC reports.


Iran will provide gas for liquefying facilities in Oman.


The pipeline will run from South Pars in the waters of Qatar and Iran in the Persian Gulf. The South Pars Gas Field holds 50.97 trillion cubic meters of reserves and 50 billion barrels of condensate.
