60% of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway construction work has been completed. Turkey has spent $135 million out of $325 million, ANS reports.
Turkish MPs Ahmed Arslan and Yunus Kylyc and Kars Municipality chairman Nevzat Bozkus expressed interest in the construction, asking questions about the construction process. Bozkus said that a logistics center will be constructed on the line and will offer workplaces for many.
Work on construction of the 76-kilometer Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway started on July 24, 2008, initiated by the presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia.
