Armenia holds science conference on Lake Sevan ecology

The Armenian State Engineering University is opening a 3-day international science conference on geoecological monitoring and risks of administrative districts. 56 scientists from 17 states will take part, Panorama.am reports.


The conference is organized by the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Armenian Youth Fund, the Armenian State Engineering University and the district administration of Gegerkunik.


The conference will also include talks on Lake Sevan, ecological changes, models for evaluation of risks from chemical and technical facilities, prevention of radioactive pollution of water bodies.
