Russia has stopped gas transport to Armenia to fix a section of the North Caucasus – Trans-Caucasus pipeline section, News Armenia reports.
Gazprom Export informed ArmRosgazprom about the halting of gas deliveries from 9 am on September 28 to 9 pm on September 30.
Work will be carried out on the 52nd km of the pipeline. Armenia will use own gas reserves in the meanwhile.
Gas transport was halted from September 22 to 27 due to road reconstruction of Tbilisi on the Saguramo-Krasny Most pipeline (1000mm diameter).
Armenia has enough gas reserves for 1-1.5 months.
ArmRosgazprom is a monopolist in supplies and distribution of Russian natural gas in Armenia. The company was established by Gazprom in 1997.
