Kazakhstan has started gas supplies to Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov said on Wednesday.
Kazakhstan will sell gas at $195 per 1,000 cubic meters. Kazakhstan is to provide 240 million cubic meters. Uzbekistan sells gas at $305 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas. Gas prices will be lowered for consumers in the near future.
Kyrgyz citizens in the north pay 14.58 somas per cubic meter of gas, the south – 14.19 somas. The prices in July were 14.49 somas for the north and 14.1 somas for the south.
