Azerbaijani budget has no deficit in 2011

Forecasts for the state budget of 2011 say Azerbaijan may have no deficit, Deputy Finances Minister Azer Bayramov said on Thursday.


Oil prices were planned at $80 per barrel, the rising prices brought extra income for the budget.


Income of the state budget is expected to reach 15 554.2 million manats, exceeding the figures in 2010 by 36.4% (4151.2 million manats). The GDP income is expected to increase to 34.7%, exceeding the real figure of the late 2011 by 7.3%.


Expenses are expected at 15 941.2 million manats (+35.5% compared with 2010).


The deficit is expected at 387 million manats, or 0.9% of GDP.


The official currency rate for September 29 is 0.7868 AZN/USD.
