Iran seeks railway to Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan - president

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has stressed the importance of the speedy construction of a railroad linking Iran to Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, describing it as a vital project in the region, Press TV reports.

In a telephone conversation with Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Thursday, Ahmadinejad emphasized that all obstacles in the way of speedy implementation of the “important and major” project should be removed.
