Russia has renewed gas supplies to Armenia after repairing the North Caucasus – Trans-Caucasus pipeline, News Armenia cites ArmRosgazprom as saying.
Gazprom Export officially informed ArmRosgazprom about maintenance on the pipeline from 9.00 am on September 28 to 9.00 pm on September 30. Gas supply was restored at 12.20 pm.
Gas supply was stopped on September 22-27 due to launching of the Saguramo-Krasny Most pipeline, with a diameter of 1000mm, in Georgia, with road bypass reconstruction in Tbilisi. Armenia used the reserves of the Abovyan underground gas station, which holds enough supplies for 1-1.5 months.
ArmRosgazprom is an Armenian-Russian monopoly for supply and distribution of Russian gas in Armenia, which comes through Georgia. The company was founded in 1997, its shareholders are Gazprom (Russia) and the Armenian government.
