The Georgian parliament has presented a draft budget for 2012. The chairman of the budget and finance committee, Zurab Melikishvili, said that the budget will more clearly define the distribution of budgetary funds, Business Georgia reports.
Melikishvili said that the full amount of the budget will be increased by 3.23 million laris as compared with 2011, amounting to 7 billion 643 million laris. GDP growth is expected to reach 5.5 percent, amounting to 3 billion. In 2010 the budget deficit was 6.6 percent, in 2012 it will amount to 3.6 percent.
