The Georgian goverment has not yet made any decision regarding the veto on Russian
membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO), Georgia Online reports, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Nikoloz Vashakidze, announced
at a briefing on Monday. Earlier, media reported that Georgia was going to
veto the entry of Russia to the WTO, despite support for Russia's bid
from the US.
Assessing the last round of Russian-Georgian negotiations on the WTO, which
took place from October 7-8 in Geneva, Nikoloz Vashakidze said that, like all the
previous ones, they ended without any result.
